  • #iii
Doesn't seem to work on my showtime try. Reason I was ditching my Moto Z every bit it didn't piece of work on that. Always worked fine on my LG G5 and on pre USB C Samsungs. At least it does take miracast though Moto didn't fifty-fifty have that.

Tried over again after updates, yet no joy after system update 47.1.A.8.49

The screen does seem to detect an HDMI input but it'south black and the phone doesn't mention it.

XZ1 does Not support MHL and DisplayPort-over-USB-C HDMI adapters. They won't work on the device. That means you'll take to employ a wireless method ( e.thousand Miracast or Chromecast) to connect to your TV

XZ1 does NOT support MHL and DisplayPort-over-USB-C HDMI adapters.
The missing link is the keyword "DisplayLink"! A "DisplayPort alt mode" USB-C to HDMI cablevision would be cheaper and smaler, but this DisplayLink dongle does the job, besides! :skilful:

"WAVLINK UG-3501H" (DisplayLink certified dl-3500 chipset) + USB-A to USB-C adapter/cable

After installing the app "DisplayLink Presenter" and a reboot, the film was shown via HDMI.

I tested the this device with these smartphones:
i. Sony XZ1 (USB three.1)
2. ZTE Axon 7 Mini (USB 2.0, like the XZ1 Compact)

I'grand not sure to understand, why this particular you suggest is suppose to work better than other USB adaptator ?
Which other USB adaptors do you mean?
XZ1 does NOT support MHL and DisplayPort-over-USB-C HDMI adapters.
Maybe you can attempt to use a USB blazon C docking station which supports DisplayLink. eBay and Amazon are total of DisplayLink adapters and docking stations.

In order to apply a hub, you need a kernel that allows to active USB host style and charging at the same time! Only aforementioned custom kernels allow this combination.

It accept audio from HDMI cablevision too ?

Yes, it has! :cowboy:

Cheers,
I buy it from ebay, tested today
WAVLINK UG-3501H + Ugreen type-c to usb + Sony XZ1 + Monitor 1080P = video + audio (I tin't check resolution)

But,
For Sony = WAVLINK UG-3501H == 26-39$
For Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+ Plus / Macbook/huawei mate10 P20 (pro) = USB-C Blazon-C to HDMI == vi-xviii$

Could information technology be what happen with my Lenovo USB-C HUB C112 ?
Did you bank check what is shown in a USB diagnostic app similar this one? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=aws.apps.usbDeviceEnumerator

In club to use a hub, you need a kernel that allows to active USB host mode and charging at the same time! Only same custom kernels allow this combination.
